Overall Comment:
This is one of those courses where it’s very easy to get a 6 and hard to get a 7. Exams/assignments are structured in a way that 80%  of the cohort will get 80% of the marks, and 20% of the cohort will get those bonus ‘hard question’ marks to push them over to a 7. The only thing you should go to are tutorials, however you could still do relatively well without going to anything and by simply reading the lecture slides online and learning how to use excel in a reasonable advanced way in your own time. You will only really have to get to the stage where you use ‘IF’ functions in excel etc. This course is an easy GPA booster – ESPECIALLY if you are already a pro at excel.
The assignment using excel takes about 4-6 solid hours of work but is easy and gives you like 30% of assessment marks.
Finally – exams are primarily based on memorization of lists of theory/concepts (not much understanding) and knowing excel really well (what functions to use in certain situations).
