In This Course:

– The textbook is not actually necessary.
– This course does gives ‘free’ or participation marks.
– Staff will give good assignment/exam hints.
– Assignments/exams are marked fairly.
– The lecturer does not just read off the slides.
BUT:
– You can NOT do the whole course online.
-This course HAS a final.

Overall Comment:

Philip Sharpe (module 1) was definitely the most competent lecturer out of my bunch, but all of the lecturers are fairly good. Module 1 introduces a lot of content new to most students, but there aren’t many calculations. Module 2 and 3 are very similar to high school chemistry, and you get a formula sheet in the exam, so these two modules are arguably easier than module 1.
